Objective VHDL is a result of the OMI/ESPRIT project REQUEST.

REQUEST is aimed at defining and applying an improved system design methodology by means of REusability and QUality ESTimation concepts.

The OO paradigm is considered as a key concept of an improved design methodology, higher abstraction, and reuse on system level within the REQUEST project.
